Speaking about India's journey to becoming the world's third largest economy, Sitharaman informed the global aviation solutions group of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership and the vision for the next 25 years -- Amrit Kaal, while leading India to 100 years of independence.

Referring to Amrit Kaal, she informed the US-based group that her government's primary focus is to benefit Indian citizens through the four "I"s - Investments, Infrastructure, Innovation, and Inclusivity.

She stated that India's aerospace and civil aviation markets are on a high growth trajectory, and she also informed the group about aircraft leasing operations being undertaken by banks in Gujarat's GIFT City.

She emphasised India's focus on repositioning itself as a Maintenance and Repair Overhaul hub that can potentially serve the region from Europe to Africa to the Far East in the context of India's geographical advantage.

She also highlighted the opportunities available in India for company relocating in the form of not only a captive market but also the opportunity to be a hub for serving the region as a whole, which can be rewarding for companies from a business perspective
