Flipkart Hires Balaji Thiagarajan Chief Technology & Product Officer

Flipkart has named experienced technology executive Balaji Thiagarajan as its new Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO), a strategic decision aimed at enhancing innovation and digital transformation throughout its operations.
Thiagarajan will lead the company’s OneTech division, which is responsible for advancing Flipkart’s technology agenda and implementing emerging tech solutions on a large scale. With over 25 years of experience from major corporations such as Google, Microsoft, Uber, and Yahoo, Thiagarajan has a significant history of product and platform innovations.
Most recently, he established Kasu.ai, an AI-based platform dedicated to optimizing business operations—demonstrating his entrepreneurial skills alongside corporate management. His appointment comes after the exit of the former CTPO Jeyandran Venugopal, who left in February and is reportedly poised to take on the role of CEO at Reliance Retail Ventures.
