Greaves Electric Mobility has declared the appointment of Samarpita Banerjee as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective right away.

The appointment enhances the leadership team of the company as it expands operations and pursues its long-term growth goals.

With more than twenty years of expertise in human resources, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development, Banerjee will direct the company’s comprehensive HR strategy and administrative services.

Her role involves developing scalable and future-oriented human resource practices to facilitate business expansion in manufacturing, technology, and sales areas. She will be accountable to Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility.

Prior to her tenure at Greaves Electric Mobility, Banerjee held the position of Director – Human Resources at Carrier Corporation, where she directed HR strategy for rapidly expanding digital, engineering, business services, and global functions, and collaborated closely with the APAC technology division.

Her professional background includes senior HR leadership positions at companies such as Wipro, Diageo, Solera, and Novozymes, providing extensive cross-industry expertise in IT, automotive, HVAC, and consumer goods.

Based at the company’s Bengaluru headquarters in IndiQube Miniforest, Banerjee possesses an MBA in Human Resources and a master’s degree in Econometrics. Recognized for her leadership style that prioritizes people, she is also a passionate reader and artist.

The appointment occurs at a crucial moment for the company as it works to develop future-ready leadership and organizational skills in preparation for its upcoming growth phase.
