Gunnebo Boosts Halol Plant Capacity, Now India's Largest Safe Storage Factory
Gunnebo, a renowned provider of physical security solutions worldwide, has unveiled the expansion of its safe storage factory located in Halol, Gujarat. This enhancement positions the Halol facility as the largest in India dedicated to physical security solutions, particularly in the safe storage segment, according to the company's announcement. Established in 1984, the factory presently produces an extensive range of products including high-security safes, strongroom doors, vaults, fire cabinets, safe deposit lockers, ATM safes, and high-security locks.
Stefan Syren, President and CEO, Gunnebo Group, said, "Post this phase of expansion, the Halol facility becomes our largest manufacturing unit globally, and will continue to produce high grade safe storage products under the iconic Steelage and Chubbsafes brands. With an investment of Rs 75 crore in this phase, our production capacity for high-grade, safe storage products is expected to increase by 50%, which will be achieved through a combination of plant expansion, automation, and efficiency improvements. This milestone is a testament to our commitment to the Indian market and will help us cater to the growing demand for high-quality security products in this country”.
Located strategically in Halol, Gujarat, a key manufacturing center with excellent connectivity to global markets via major ports and a strong supplier base, as well as efficient road networks linking it to various parts of the country, the expanded facility will significantly enhance the group's capacity to cater to the specific requirements of the Indian subcontinent. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the plant's research and development facility is committed to creating groundbreaking products tailored for the Indian market and beyond.
