haryanaHaryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said here that the launch of the U-WIN portal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected the commitment of the government of India towards ensuring the health and safety of all its citizens through universal and equitable access to essential services.

PM Modi dedicated the U-WIN portal to the nation, aiming at strengthening immunization services through an online platform. The success of eVIN and Co-WIN led the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to build a third pillar called UWIN to digitize routine immunization services in the country.

U-WIN is the digital platform for tracking each pregnant woman, newborn, child, and adolescent.

Chief Minister thanked PM Modi for launching this key health initiative and said Haryana's UIP targets to reach over 5.95 lakh new-borns and over 6.80 lakh pregnant women annually.
U-WIN is a digital solution to track each pregnant woman, newborn, child, and adolescent for vaccination.

It will be able to plan the sessions of vaccination, registration of beneficiaries, updating the digital status of vaccination in real-time from the last mile of service delivery by the vaccinator, and record and report all data of the UIP.

U-WIN is designed in linkages with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) for HPR, HFR and ABHA.

It will be interoperable with all the existing management information systems. U-WIN will include an interactive user interface for citizens and provide relevant vaccination certificates and different modules for programme managers. Beneficiaries get periodic alerts through SMS about their due vaccines from the UWIN portal.

It facilitates the beneficiaries through several features like blended (offline and online) registrations, instant acknowledgment of vaccination, and convenient slot booking. About 6,000 healthcare workers and more than 20,000 mobilizers in the state have been registered and trained on the U-WIN portal for registration and vaccination of beneficiaries.

In addition, almost 808 government and 1525 private health facilities are created and trained on the UWIN portal. Almost 29,000 session sites are created in the UWIN portal for the routine immunisation sessions in the state of Haryana. Almost 12 lakh beneficiaries are given different types of vaccinations in the state on a yearly basis through routine immunisation.

Haryana: 24.04 lakh beneficiaries registered as yet; pregnant women covered, 65, 09,960 and children 17, 53,826; total infants between 0-1 years 14,85,792 children 1-5 years 4,93,107, adolescent children of 10-16 years 49,816 and pregnant women, 5,11,763 in Haryana as a whole under the U-WIN portal.

An official release here has stated that 12 lakh beneficiaries, including children and pregnant women, are being vaccinated with different vaccinations annually under the routine Immunisation program in the state.
