India Post, the government-run postal service provider in India, recently announced a collaboration with logistics aggregator Shiprocket to improve the latter's last-mile delivery services for a variety of e-commerce products.

In New Delhi, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between India Post, Shiprocket, and Pickrr, an e-commerce logistics solution and shipping software provider.

Saahil Goel, co-founder and CEO of Shiprocket, stated that the India Post network will provide last-mile connectivity and aid in the penetration of e-commerce services beyond large cities and towns.

According to a government press release, it would enable automated shipping and faster delivery for merchants, resulting in cost-effectiveness and business growth.

Bigfoot Retail Solutions (Shiprocket) is an up-and-coming logistics aggregator with three lakh sellers and 70 million customers per year. This collaboration will provide shipping and last-mile delivery services to Shiprocket's three lakh seller base, which includes start-ups as well as a large number of small and medium businesses.
