Infosys Acquires MRE Consulting in All-Cash Transaction

The technology and business consulting firm MRE Consulting has been acquired by IT giant Infosys for $ 36 million (about Rs 305 crore) in an all-cash transaction.
The consulting business was purchased by the IT corporation through Infosys Nova Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary.
A regulatory filing on Thursday stated that the acquisition comes after the company's announcement on April 17, 2025.
It gives Infosys more advanced trading and risk management skills, particularly in the energy industry.
MRE Consulting, based in Texas, will contribute more than 200 specialists to the event.
Subject to standard closing conditions, the transaction is anticipated to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, or the quarter ending June 30, 2025.
Additionally, for AUD 98 million, Infosys will purchase The Missing Link, an Australian cybersecurity services specialty company with expertise across the entire stack of cyber solutions.
The Missing Link expands Infosys' global network of cyber defense centers by bringing a team of highly qualified cybersecurity experts and a cutting-edge Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) to the company.
Networks are protected, assets are secured, and employees are given the means to lessen cyberattacks thanks to the Missing Link solutions.
In the meantime, Infosys recorded a consolidated net profit for the March quarter of Rs 7,033 crore, down 11.7 percent.
In the previous year, it reported a profit of Rs 7,969 crore, which was attributed to the company's shareholders.
