JBM Electric Vehicles Signs Agreement with LeafyBus for 200 Electric Luxury Buses

JBMJBM Electric Vehicles (P) Ltd., a leading Indian electric bus manufacturer, has entered into a strategic partnership with LeafyBus to supply 200 state-of-the-art electric luxury buses. This collaboration is aimed at advancing green public mobility and supporting the decarbonization efforts of both companies, aligning with their respective Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
 
Under this agreement, JBM Electric Vehicles will deliver 200 electric intercity buses, equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure eco-friendly, safe, and comfortable travel between cities. The project includes 150 high-end electric luxury intercity coaches and 50 e-buses specifically designed for staff and tourists. These buses, offering zero emissions, are intended to provide passengers with an unparalleled combination of luxury, safety, and comfort, with interiors and amenities crafted to enhance the travel experience.
 
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in revolutionizing intercity travel by integrating advanced technology with luxury and convenience. It is also a testament to JBM's commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and reducing carbon footprints. The initiative is expected to save approximately 4 lakh tons of CO2 emissions and 140 million liters of diesel over the lifetime of the buses. These electric buses will feature the latest battery technology, enabling extended range, fast-charging capabilities, and intelligent fleet management systems to optimize routes and energy consumption. The delivery of these buses is slated to be completed within the next 24 months.
 
Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman of JBM Group, emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainable development and zero-emission technologies. “This association is a testament to JBM’s commitment to fostering sustainable development and zero emission technologies. Our electric buses are designed to offer not only superior performance, safety, and reliability but also a cleaner, greener alternative for intercity travel. This agreement aligns perfectly with our vision to lead the transition to electric mobility in India”, Arya stated.
 
Arya also highlighted the adaptability of JBM electric buses, noting that the company has conducted extensive trials across various geographies worldwide. These tests have demonstrated the buses’ adaptability to different road conditions, climates, and operational patterns, establishing JBM electric buses as a viable solution for public transportation on a global scale.
