
Kia India Brings Joonsu Cho, Sunhack Park to Leadership Roles

Joonsu Cho has been named Chief Business Officer (CBO), and Sunhack Park has been named Chief Sales Officer (CSO) by Kia India.
Cho will be responsible for creating comprehensive business plans, managing production scheduling and export logistics, overseeing cross-functional teams, establishing strategic partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence in his role as CBO.
Cho has over 32 years of leadership experience and has held numerous international positions in Australia, the UK, and Europe.

Kia India has made remarkable strides in the market, and my priority will be to develop and execute robust business strategies that support sustainable growth and operational excellence."

Park will spearhead Kia India's sales strategy in his new position as CSO, emphasizing long-term growth, increasing operational effectiveness, and broadening the brand's consumer base. Park, who has 28 years of global automotive expertise, has held important leadership positions at Kia Headquarters in India, the Middle East & Africa (MEA), and South Korea.
Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, “This is an exciting phase for the brand as we continue to expand our presence in a dynamic and evolving market. My focus will be on driving sales growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and strengthening our dealer and partner ecosystem.”

Additionally, in September 2025, Kia India reported domestic sales of 22,700 vehicles, a significant 15.8 percent month-over-month increase over August's 19,608 units. The company's performance fell short of the 23,523 units sold in September 2024, a tiny 3.5 percent year-over-year decline.
Consumer interest in Kia's lineup, which includes models like the Sonet, Carens, Carens Clavis, Seltos, Syros, and Carnival, has increased dramatically as a result of the change in GST rates across a number of vehicle categories during the holiday season.
