Larissa Murmann, formerly the Digital Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Unilever International, has left her position and has taken on a role at Werfen to oversee its global commercial people function.

In a LinkedIn post by Murmann, it was announced that she will be assuming the position of Vice President – Global Commercial People Function at Werfen, starting January 2026.

In her new position, Murmann will concentrate on fostering a culture that encourages innovation, enhances performance, and promotes sustainable growth. Her role involves empowering leaders and teams to try new work methods, convert ideas into quantifiable value, and achieve unique, customer-focused results.

She will act as a reliable consultant to senior business leaders, integrating personnel, talent, and organizational strategy with Werfen’s enduring commercial goals. This encompasses managing worldwide succession planning, leadership and skills development, workforce strategies, and the evolution of operating models across various regions.

Murmann will collaborate closely with both regional and global human resources teams to design and integrate scalable, future-oriented employee processes throughout the employee lifecycle.

An essential aspect of her position includes assisting the commercial team in developing digital skills and attitudes, particularly by overseeing the personnel and transformation elements of the shift to a new CRM system.

Situated at the crossroads of strategy, culture, and implementation, Murmann stated that her position will leverage external market insights and best practices to guarantee the organization possesses the talent and skills required to thrive in a swiftly changing landscape.

 

Murmann recently featured on the People Matters Unplugged podcast, where she discussed responsible AI implementation in HR, workforce evolution, and readying organizations for a future of human–machine cooperation, leveraging her 15 years at Unilever.

In terms of academics, she possesses a Master’s degree in International Cultural and Business Studies from Universität Passau. She has finished the Chief Data, Analytics and AI Officer Programme at the National University of Singapore, AI Implications and Business Strategy at MIT Sloan, as well as Agile Coaching and CIPD certifications in Design and Development.
