UNO Technology, a distinguished engineering solutions firm known for its expertise in high-resolution air traffic control cabins and towers, has been awarded a prestigious contract to enhance the operational capabilities of Madurai International Airport's air traffic control (ATC) cabins. This substantial undertaking, integral to the airport's comprehensive development strategy, seeks to improve operational efficiency and safety standards in the area.

Madurai International Airport's development is led by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) in partnership with SOM Projects, with UNO Technology serving as a specialized subcontractor. Within the project scope, UNO Technology will revamp the ATC cabin into a High Vision Cabin, supplying advanced glazing panels for the Visual Control Room (VCR) tailored specifically to the region's unique weather conditions and meeting AAI's rigorous standards.

One remarkable aspect of the project involves integrating an inventive framing system created by UNO Technology, which ensures air traffic controllers enjoy unobstructed visibility. This state-of-the-art design expands the controllers' field of vision to more than 200 degrees, effectively tackling challenges such as restricted visibility and heightened fatigue levels among controllers.

The cabin design by UNO Technology strictly complies with the standards set forth by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), emphasizing the reduction of controller fatigue. Every detail regarding ergonomics and functionality within the cabin will be meticulously orchestrated to guarantee a comfortable and effective working atmosphere for the controllers.

Mr. Unni Bhaskar, Managing Director of UNO Technology Pvt. Ltd., expressed pride in contributing to the development of Madurai International Airport. With over 25 years of experience in the aviation infrastructure sector, UNO Technology brings patented technology and expertise to elevate air traffic control capabilities in India. This partnership not only signifies a significant leap forward for Madurai International Airport but also sets a new benchmark for the future of air traffic control infrastructure, addressing issues such as limited visibility, obsolete equipment, and heightened controller fatigue that impact operational efficiency and safety standards.

This project signifies a significant leap forward in enhancing air traffic control infrastructure in India. UNO Technology's pioneering solutions are positioned to revolutionize air traffic management at Madurai International Airport, promising improved safety, efficiency, and operational prowess.
