Mahindra Group Names Amit Sinha CEO of Holidays and Lifespaces

Mahindra Group appointed Amit Sinha, who is currently the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd (MLDL), as the CEO of its Holidays and Lifespaces division.
The shift occurs as the organization concentrates on the Holidays and Lifespaces sectors to boost growth and achieve operational synergies in these areas, referred to as 'Growth Gems,' it noted.
He will take on the position once a new CEO is named at Mahindra Lifespaces, it stated, mentioning that the leadership and reporting structures for the related businesses will be adjusted as part of the new sector structure's implementation.
"Both Holidays and Lifespaces businesses have tremendous potential", says Anish Shah, Group CEO & MD, Mahindra Group.
"As we move into the next phase of growth, we have been evaluating how to harness the synergies between them to further strengthen the growth trajectory," says Anish Shah.
In the past five years, the group stated, it has experienced considerable momentum in all its operations, with a key contributor to this expansion being its ‘Growth Gems’. Many of these companies have exceeded the growth expectation of five times during this time and are poised for additional expansion, it mentioned, noting that the group's real estate division, Mahindra Lifespaces, has emerged as a notable 'Growth Gem'.

Since FY20, this business has seen residential pre-sales increase five times, from approximately Rs.700 crore to Rs.3,500 crore, according to reports.
The Industrial sector of the business has also shown robust results during this time. The company reported that it has shifted from incurring losses to achieving profits of approximately Rs.300 crore in FY26.

In the same timeframe, the group's hospitality venture Mahindra Holidays has also achieved considerable advancement. The company, with over 3 lakh vacation ownership members, is a leader in this sector and has increased its capacity by adding over 1,700 rooms, it reported.
The company stated that it is growing beyond vacation ownership and into leisure hospitality, aiming to become the top hospitality player in India.

Sinha's appointment aims to place the group's Holidays and Lifespaces businesses under a more cohesive leadership framework as Mahindra Group seeks to boost growth and enhance synergies between the two sectors.
