
Meta Appoints Arun Srinivas as the MD and Head for Meta India

Meta has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director (MD) and Head of Meta India. He will take on the position starting July 1, 2025, according to reports.
Srinivas will report to Sandhya Devanathan, the Vice President and Head of Meta India, whose responsibilities have recently expanded to include oversight of Meta's Southeast Asia operations.
Having been with Meta since September 2020, Srinivas has been managing its advertising business in India. He joined the parent company of Facebook as the director and head of its global business group.
He is expected to oversee the company's business strategies, innovation, and revenue objectives while serving its clients and partners. He will lead Meta's initiatives in India and will play a vital role in collaborating with brands, advertisers, and developers to foster growth.
Arun Srinivas graduated from the University of Madras and obtained his master's degree from the Indian Institute of Management Kolkata in 1996. He became part of Meta in 2019 and now serves as the Director & Head of the Ads Business for Meta India. He is responsible for managing business relationships across all industry sectors and company sizes—large, medium, and small—as well as the entire media and creative agency landscape.
He boasts over 25 years of experience, of which 21 years were in the Consumer Products sector. He spent 5 years at Reebok India and subsequently 16 years at Unilever. During his tenure at Unilever, he advanced to head various divisions, including Beverages, Skin Care & Makeup, and Foods for India, and was involved in leadership teams for India, South Asia, and global operations.
Arun dedicated 2.5 years to the Private Equity sector with Westbridge Capital, where he managed the consumer vertical for both new and existing investments. He played a role in numerous deals and evaluated hundreds of companies seeking investment across various sectors.

Additionally, Arun worked for over a year at Ola, serving as the COO and Global CMO. He oversaw the mobility business and P&L for India while also leading global Marketing, Categories, and Revenue functions. Arun was instrumental in the successful launch of Ola in London.
