Mozilla has declared the selection of Anthony Enzor-DeMeo as the Chief Executive Officer of the Mozilla Corporation, indicating a new stage in the organization’s plan to establish itself as the most trusted software company globally.

Enzor-DeMeo most recently acted as General Manager of Firefox, where he directed the browser’s vision, strategy, and business outcomes amid a time of swift transformation in search, AI, and consumer demands.

Mozilla embarks on this new phase at a time when confidence in technology among the public is greatly declining. Consumers globally are feeling more monitored, less informed, and uncertain about how AI systems influence the information they encounter and the choices they make. The widening trust gap has presented a distinct opportunity for Mozilla: to provide contemporary, top-notch software that is clear, user-governed, and free from surveillance-based business practices.

“No other tech company for consumers matches Mozilla’s worldwide presence, technical trustworthiness, and established reputation for autonomy,” stated Mark Surman, President of Mozilla.

“Anthony recognizes that trust goes beyond a brand promise; it’s something gained through the way products are developed, how data is managed, and how transparently users comprehend what is occurring.” "That’s the future we’re working towards,” Mark adds.

Enzor-DeMeo has a proven track record of developing product-focused companies in intricate, regulated sectors. Prior to his tenure at Mozilla, he acted as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Roofstock and occupied senior product leadership positions at Better and Wayfair, having begun his career at Dealer.com. He possesses an MBA from MIT Sloan and both MS and BS degrees from Champlain College.

In the last two years, Interim CEO Laura Chambers reinforced Mozilla during a pivotal time for the internet, clarifying the company’s strategy, enhancing execution, and steering Mozilla through major changes in AI and the search industry.
