
Nothing Hires Hemant Kundavaram as CFO, Bolsters Leadership Team

A London-based tech company, Nothing, has announced the appointment of Hemant Kundavaram as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Indian operations.
Kundavaram, who has over two decades of experience in finance and accounting, possesses significant knowledge in fundraising, managing investor relations, navigating IPOs, and overseeing capital market activities to support the company's financial strategy in a crucial market.
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005, Kundavaram's career has included positions at Ford India, IBM, Thomson Reuters, and Rockwell Collins. In 2015, he transitioned to ventures led by promoters. His most recent role was CFO at PMI Electromobility. This onboarding represents the second notable senior leadership appointment for Nothing India, following Akis Evangelidis's selection as India President.
Kundavaram expressed enthusiasm about joining the company: “The journey of Nothing to date has been incredibly impressive. I am thrilled to be part of this new phase as we enhance our growth and strengthen our presence in India. Recently, the company noted impressive results in Q2 2025, demonstrating a remarkable 146 percent year-over-year growth, making it the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India for the sixth straight quarter (Source: Counterpoint Q2 2025 Smartphone Shipment Tracker), highlighting India's increasing significance as a vital market for Nothing’s global ambitions.

Furthermore, many smartphone manufacturers are now producing their devices within India, primarily for the local market. However, Nothing is taking a distinctive approach, as seen in their unique strategies and aspirations; they are not only assembling their smartphones, including the flagship Nothing Phone 3, in India but are also exporting them to international markets.
