Soares will succeed Anjan Sen, who is retiring after 35 years in the biopharmaceutical sector, including 11 years with MSD and Organon. Anjan played a key role in establishing Organon's operations in India and neighbouring markets in South Asia. He also developed the commercial organization and business plan for India, positioning it as a long-term growth driver in the region.

Soares has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He has held numerous leadership roles at both country and regional levels. Soares has successfully led diverse teams across markets and developed and executed successful strategies to increase sales and profitability, while also building future capabilities.

Before joining Organon India, Vivek worked as the Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead for Organon Thailand. He has also held positions such as Director of the Fertility Business Unit in Asia Pacific, Head of Tender & Key Account in Vietnam, and Senior Marketing Manager for Women's Health covering India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

"I am excited to welcome Vivek as the new Country Lead for India and South Asia and as a member of the Organon Asia Pacific leadership team. Organon serves markets across Asia Pacific, home to over one-quarter of the world’s female population. Vivek’s extensive experience in supporting women's health across this region provides a strong foundation to drive growth and success in India," said Andreas Daugaard Jorgensen, Managing Director of Organon Asia Pacific.

Vivek expressed his excitement about joining Organon as the company moves forward into its next chapter. He also extended his gratitude to Anjan Sen, who played a pivotal role in setting up Organon's operations in India and the neighbouring markets in South Asia. Vivek looks forward to collaborating with partners and healthcare professionals to fulfil Organon's mission of creating a healthier future for every woman every day.
