In the third quarter of FY26, the revenue generated from marketing services decreased from Rs 267 crore to Rs 228 crore compared to the previous year. This decline was attributed by the company to modifications in the delivery of promotional content on its consumer app. The company stated that it had streamlined and limited upsell options to concentrate on specific groups of customers.

During the quarter, Paytm reported that improvements to its app properties have started to yield positive outcomes, resulting in advertisers experiencing higher returns on investment from tailored campaigns. The company anticipates that growth in this area will be fueled by a rise in the number of monthly transacting users and a more effective upsell process.
