WAGR, the inaugural modern pet parenting ecosystem in India, has been introduced with the aim of establishing a more connected, convenient, and reliable experience for pet owners.

WAGR utilizes a pet-first and parent-focused strategy to make decision-making easier and improve access to reliable solutions, assisting pet parents in delivering the best care for their pets while building a more engaged and connected pet parenting community.

It is the contemporary pet caregiving platform designed to simplify, enhance, and connect pet care. WAGR is building a cohesive ecosystem that integrates commerce, services, reliable information, and community, tailored to the changing demands of modern pet owners.

The brand's launch in the fast-expanding but notably fragmented pet care sector signifies an important development in India's changing pet care scene.

As pet owners increasingly look for comprehensive solutions for their pets' wellness, WAGR unites products, reliable information, and community within a cohesive ecosystem. Fredun Medhora, representative for WAGR, stated that India’s bond with pets has changed considerably in the past ten years.

Today, pets are considered cherished family members, and pet owners are looking for increased trust, easier access to information, and assistance along their journey.

“As a pet parent myself, I have experienced the challenges of navigating the existing structure in the pet care industry first-hand,” he says.

This also aided in recognizing that the upcoming growth stage in this category would not stem from individual products, but from developing a cohesive framework addressing the needs of both pets and their owners.

WAGR strives to establish a reliable hub that equips pet owners with access to the appropriate products, dependable information, and valuable community interaction, all while adapting constantly to their requirements.

In the long run, WAGR aims to be an essential element of each pet owner’s experience and a well-known brand associated with pet care in India, he mentioned.

In the previous year, Fredun Pharmaceuticals, a prominent formulation manufacturing firm, purchased all assets of Wagr, a top pet tech platform. The agreement results in the introduction of India's initial neutral online platform for pet products and services. The purchase encompasses Wagr’s all-encompassing technology platform featuring a user base of more than 1.40 lakh pet owners, patented pet fitness monitoring technology, and a well-established veterinary network. The platform develops a system that fills essential voids in the Indian pet care market.

Wagr is an extensive technology platform for pet care that introduced a neutral pet e-commerce marketplace, health monitoring for pets, GPS tracking, and veterinary consultation services in India. Wagr has positioned itself as an innovator in the pet technology sector as the developer of India's inaugural GPS and fitness monitor for dogs and the global pioneer of an AI chatbot for pet care.
