Pivot Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company, welcomes Russell Starr as its new President. Russell will also take charge as interim Chief Executive Officer replacing Pivot’s prior CEO Patrick Frankham.

Excited over his new position, Russell proclaims, “This is an incredible opportunity, I am energized and honored to be a part of shaping the future of consumer focused cannabis products using Pivot's innovative, patent-protected drug delivery technologies to provide consumers with the consistent science-based quality they are demanding while generating substantial cash flow generation for Pivot and its shareholders.”

Russell will work in association with Krisztian Toth, the Executive Chairman of Pivot, and will be reporting to the Board of Directors. He will lead Pivot’s capital market activities which includes outreach to existing and potential shareholders in Canada and across the globe. This appointment will increase the company’s exposure among the institutional and retail investors. Russell possesses in depth management expertise in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions.

Being a successful entrepreneur, and possessing more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, investment and business development, Russell quit Bay Street in 2012(acquired by Agnico Eagle in 2014), and took up an executive position
and board appointments with Cayden Resources. Serving as Senior Vice President and board member of Cayden Resources, Russell played an integral role in marketing, financing, and contributed for the development & ultimate sale of cayden for CAD$ 205 million to Agnico Eagle.

Previously, Russell has also held several senior positions and advisory roles at financial institution which includes RBC Capital Markets, Scotia Capital, Orion Securities, Blackmont, and Lawrence & Company. He is also a Co-Founder of Echelon Wealth Partners, a Canadian investment dealer.

Russell has earned an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Queens University.
