PM Chairs PRAGATI Meeting, Reviews Rs.62,000 Crore Infra Projects

To assess important infrastructure projects and governance efforts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the PRAGATI meeting, an ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation that involves both the federal government and state governments.
These initiatives, which are being carried out in some States and Union Territories, cover vital industries including water resources, power, and road transportation.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need of eliminating implementation roadblocks and guaranteeing prompt completion. He emphasized that the public's access to necessary infrastructure and services is hampered by delays in such projects, which raise costs. He urged everyone involved to be more accountable and efficient.
The Prime Minister also took to X today and said, "Chaired a PRAGATI meeting yesterday, where projects worth over Rs. 62,000 crore were reviewed, covering diverse sectors like roads, power, water resources, semiconductors and more. Emphasised on ensuring all infra projects are completed on time. Also deliberated on RERA-related grievances. It's our Government's priority to ensure justice for homebuyers."
In addition, the Prime Minister examined the current state of public complaints against the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
He instructed state governments to make sure that the RERA Act requires all qualifying real estate developments to be registered. To safeguard homebuyers' interests and rebuild confidence in the housing industry, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of rigorous adherence to the law and stated that prompt and high-quality grievance redressal is essential.
Prime Minister Modi also discussed best practices in India's expanding semiconductor industry at the meeting. To further bolster the National Semiconductor Mission, he urged States and Union Territories to develop effective programs and models.
