Between September 13 and 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to five states including Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar to dedicate infrastructure and energy initiatives valued at more than Rs.71,850 crore.

In Aizawl, he will initiate projects worth Rs.9,000 crore, notably establishing the inaugural railway connection linking Mizoram's capital to the national rail network.

The centerpiece is the Rs.8,070-crore Bairabi-Sarang railway line, featuring 45 tunnels built through challenging geological terrain, along with 55 major bridges and 88 smaller bridges.

Following the establishment of direct railway access, Modi will ceremonially launch three new express train services: the Sairang (Aizawl)-Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal) Rajdhani Express, the Sairang-Guwahati Express, and the Sairang-Kolkata Express.
