Joshi, who is currently the CEO and Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup India and also the chair of the McCann Asia-Pacific region, enters this new phase with strong credibility.

Throughout his career, he has influenced memorable advertising stories in India, enhanced McCann's cultural reputation, and built trust with clients, regulators, and industry organizations.

According to industry leaders, his appointment indicates a deliberate decision to focus the creative direction of the merged entity in India on experience and consistency.

As the unified company starts streamlining its creative agencies through consolidation, aligning the workforce, and redefining mandates, Joshi is predicted to play a key role in maintaining stability within the industry.

Joshi's professional journey has consistently broken traditional expectations. He was born in Almora in 1971 and was raised in a setting abundant in literature, music, and educational rigor.

Despite focusing on physics during his college years, Joshi later transitioned to a management program at IMT Ghaziabad, a choice that led him to the field of advertising. He started his career at Ogilvy & Mather, however, it was at McCann where he discovered the platform that would shape his legacy.

His campaigns at McCann, including the famous ‘Thanda Matlab Coca-Cola’, combined cultural understanding with wide appeal. While leading McCann, he elevated the agency's reputation in South and Southeast Asia before moving on to oversee the larger Asia-Pacific region.

In addition to his advertising work, Joshi established a strong presence in the Indian film industry as a poet and songwriter. His contributions to movies such as Rang De Basanti and Taare Zameen Par received great praise and won several National Film Awards. His ability to excel in various creative endeavors, including writing for films, developing brand stories, and composing poetry, has solidified his status as a highly influential communicator in India. His efforts have been acknowledged with various prestigious awards like the Padma Shri, Filmfare Awards, and National Awards. However, his peers frequently highlight something more profound: the continuity in his narrative style, characterized by topics of social accountability, selfhood, and authentic emotions.

He is expected to play a crucial role in leading Omnicom Advertising Group India during this critical period.

Given India's importance in the global market, his leadership is likely to shape not only the company's roadmap but also the competitive landscape of the advertising industry in the country.
