Reliance will Contribute to Making Gujarat a Global Leader in Green Growth
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), outlined Reliance's continued pivotal role in Gujarat's developmental trajectory during the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024 in Ahmedabad. Ambani emphasized Reliance's commitment to fostering Gujarat's prominence in Green Growth, aiming to aid the state in achieving half of its energy requirements from renewable sources by 2030. To actualize this vision, Reliance has initiated the establishment of the expansive Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex spanning over 5,000 acres in Jamnagar.

He mentioned the anticipation of commissioning the complex in the latter half of 2024.
Furthermore, Ambani underscored Reliance Jio's achievement in rapidly deploying 5G infrastructure, making Gujarat fully 5G enabled, setting the stage for Gujarat's leadership in Digital Data Platforms and AI Adoption. He projected that the convergence of 5G and AI would enhance Gujarat's economy, rendering it more productive, efficient, and globally competitive. Additionally, Ambani envisioned the transformative impact of AI-enabled technologies on various sectors, foreseeing AI-enabled advancements in healthcare, education, and agriculture, generating millions of employment opportunities and enhancing productivity. Reliance's Retail division aims to empower farmers and small merchants while delivering quality products to consumers. Ambani further highlighted Reliance's commitment to innovation by establishing India's inaugural Carbon Fibre facility at Hazira, promoting New Materials and Circular Economy initiatives.
Looking ahead to the future, Ambani shared plans to collaborate with several partners to elevate education, sports, and skills infrastructure in preparation for India's potential bid for the 2036 Olympics, fostering budding athletes in Gujarat. Paying tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and Gujarat's transformation, Ambani praised Modi's leadership, attributing Gujarat's growth to the Prime Minister's visionary initiatives. He reiterated Reliance's commitment to Gujarat, emphasizing the company's extensive investments exceeding $150 billion, with a significant portion allocated to Gujarat's development. Ambani concluded by applauding the Vibrant Gujarat Summit's legacy as a prestigious global investor summit, crediting Prime Minister Modi's consistent vision for Gujarat's transformation, making it synonymous with the evolution of New India.
