Marriott International is excited to announce the appointment of Ritesh Kumar Sinha as the new Director of Engineering for its properties in Kolkata. With an impressive background in engineering management within the hospitality sector, Ritesh brings extensive expertise in improving operational efficiency, promoting sustainability, and overseeing property maintenance in his new position.

Ritesh’s extensive career in the hospitality sector includes serving as the Director of Engineering at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, where he oversaw engineering operations and ensured the smooth functioning of the property’s infrastructure. His previous roles also include serving as the Chief Engineer at JW Marriott Mussoorie and Swissotel Kolkata, where he spearheaded engineering operations, driving advanced maintenance systems and operational excellence. Additionally, Ritesh has held the position of Deputy Chief Engineer at Taj Hotels in Kolkata, honing his leadership skills in one of India’s most renowned hotel brands.

Ritesh’s engineering journey began as an Assistant Manager at Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa, followed by a position at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts in Chennai, where he further developed his technical expertise. He holds a B.Tech in Engineering from Amravati University and completed his early education at St. Xavier’s School in Patna.

In his new role at Marriott International, Ritesh will oversee the engineering operations across Marriott’s Kolkata properties, ensuring that they uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest comfort. His deep understanding of hospitality engineering and commitment to sustainable practices will be instrumental in driving Marriott’s operational success in Kolkata.
