Salesforce Unveils the Latest Version of its AI Agent Platform
Salesforce unveils the newest edition of its AI agent platform as the firm aims to attract businesses to its AI solutions in a growingly competitive market.
The large customer relations manager revealed the new platform, named Agentforce 360, just before its yearly Dreamforce customer conference starting on October 14.
The updated version of Agentforce features new methods for guiding AI agents via text, an enhanced platform for creating and deploying agents, and upgraded infrastructure for the messaging app Slack, among other improvements.
An important feature of Agentforce 360 is its innovative AI agent prompting tool, known as Agent Script, set to launch in beta this November. Agent Script allows users to configure their AI agents for increased flexibility and improved responses to “if/then” scenarios. This enables AI agents to be designed to exhibit greater predictability in less structured scenarios, such as customer inquiries.

Users can access “reasoning” models, which assert that they think prior to responding rather than replying based on patterns. These "reasoning" agents are powered by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini.

Salesforce has also revealed that it will launch a new tool for building agents, called Agentforce Builder, enabling users to create, test, and deploy AI agents from one location. This tool, set to launch in beta in November, features Agentforce Vibes, a professional app vibe coding tool that Salesforce revealed earlier this month.
The firm additionally revealed a wider integration between Agentforce and Slack. Salesforce announced that its main applications, such as Agenforce Sales, IT, and HR, will be integrated directly into Slack beginning this month and will continue to roll out through early 2026.
Slack is testing a new iteration of its Slackbot chatbot designed to serve as a more customized AI assistant that understands its user and provides insights and recommendations.

Salesforce aims for Slack to function as an enterprise search tool in the future as well and intends to introduce connectors with platforms such as Gmail, Outlook, and Dropbox in early 2026.
