Shiprocket Strengthens Leadership with Vivek Sharma as VP of International Shipping
Shiprocket, India’s leading eCommerce enablement platform, has appointed Vivek Sharma as its new Vice President of International Shipping. With more than 35 years of experience in international logistics, Vivek brings extensive expertise in managing imports, exports, warehousing, eCommerce, return logistics, and air and sea freight. His appointment is expected to enhance Shiprocket’s leadership in the fast-growing cross-border logistics sector.
Vivek’s distinguished career includes pivotal roles such as Regional Director at DPD, Regional Sales Head at TNT, and several entrepreneurial ventures in recent years. His global experience spans multiple regions including India, the UK, Hong Kong, Germany, the USA, and Dubai, where he has driven operational excellence and innovation in logistics. At Shiprocket, Vivek will be focusing on expanding ShiprocketX and CargoX, as well as developing new verticals, line hauls, categories, products, and geographies.
India’s eCommerce export market, valued at $3-4 billion, is set for significant growth, with projections reaching $200-300 billion by 2030. Supported by government initiatives like the eCommerce Export Hubs from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and the growing involvement of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), India is poised to become a global leader in digital trade.
