Shivani Shankar Heads Unscripted Content at Endemol Shine India

Endemol Shine India has revealed that Shivani Shankar has been appointed as Vice President and Head of Content for their unscripted division. Shivani, who possesses more than 20 years of experience in guiding India's most well-regarded non-fiction and reality programs, will contribute her innovative ideas and skills to the organization. 

Her past leadership roles include steering some of India's most memorable shows such as India’s Best Dancer, Dance Deewane, Super Dancer, India’s Got Talent, Hunarbaaz Desh Ki Shaan, Hip Hop India for Amazon miniTV, and India’s Best Dramebaaz. 

Throughout her career, she has worked with prominent television channels including Sony Entertainment Television, Viacom18, Zee TV, and NDTV Imagine.

Endemol Shine India has declared its strategic move into branded entertainment. To spearhead brand integration and advertiser-funded programming (AFP), EndemolShine India has joined forces with Mediascope, a prominent agency in this sector.

Through this collaboration, EndemolShine India plans to develop a series of original intellectual properties and content formats in conjunction with brands, drawing on Mediascope's extensive knowledge of the advertiser market.

EndemolShine India intends to devise creative content solutions that smoothly incorporate brand stories, allowing advertisers to connect with consumers in more significant and captivating ways. The emphasis will be on producing high-quality, impactful content across various formats and platforms, where brands are woven directly into the narrative.

This strategic alliance mirrors Banijay Entertainment's broader expansion in branded entertainment, following the introduction of its specialized division, Banijay Branded Entertainment (BBE), which is furthering the group's global initiatives in this area.
