NIIT Appoints Shilpa Dua as New Chief Human Resources Officer

NIIT Limited, a prominent skills and talent development organization, has named Shilpa Dua as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), with the appointment taking effect immediately. 

Previously, she held the position of Corporate Vice President & Head – HR (Axis Partnership) at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, where she spearheaded transformational HR programs in organizational culture development, leadership enhancement, digital HR transformation, structural design, and growth-oriented performance frameworks.

In this new position, Dua contributes approximately twenty years of HR leadership expertise spanning financial services, retail, consumer products, and healthcare sectors. Her previous HR leadership roles included positions at companies like Max Life Insurance, Walmart India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), and GSK Consumer Healthcare Limited.

Her professional journey commenced in 2004 at GSK, where she worked as HR Manager - Leadership & Organizational Development, managing strategic HR initiatives in leadership enhancement, skill development, and talent management. 

Subsequently, she moved to HCCB as National Manager of Commercial & Sales HR, overseeing essential programs in employee engagement, talent recruitment, and organizational advancement.

During her time at Walmart India Private Limited, Dua held the position of General Manager – HR, where she contributed significantly to enhancing the company's human resource practices and leadership development capabilities.

Her latest corporate position was Corporate Vice President & Head HR – Axis Partnership at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, where she managed transformational HR programs centered on cultural transformation, leadership skill enhancement, digital HR advancement, organizational structure, and performance-based growth frameworks.

After completing her role at Max Life, Dua worked with multiple startup organizations, offering HR consultancy services independently, applying her knowledge in creating adaptable people management strategies and developing high-performing teams.

Dua graduated from the FORE School of Management in New Delhi, where she earned her master's degree in Human Resources, and she also possesses an undergraduate degree from the University of Delhi.

Given her extensive knowledge in workforce development, organizational culture enhancement, and digital HR approaches, Dua is positioned to contribute significantly to reinforcing NIIT's talent management structure and advancing its strategic objectives and institutional success.
