Siddhartha Ghosal Named as the New Country President of Dow India
Siddhartha Ghosal has been named as the new country president of Dow India, the Indian wing of Dow Chemical International Pvt. Ltd, with effect from January 1, 2025.
He will succeed Chandrakant Nayak, who plans to retire at the end of this year.
Siddhartha will guide Dow India and the Indian Subcontinent into the next phase of its material science growth and development, emphasizing innovation, customer centricity, sustainability, and an inclusive, varied workplace culture.
Under Siddhartha's direction, Dow India will continue to expand and will prioritize establishing an environment at work that is based on equality and equity.
Siddhartha will lead efforts to improve customer centricity, boost operational efficiency, and provide solutions that support sustainability and long-term growth for the business and its customers in addition to promoting a diverse and inclusive work culture.
In addition, Siddhartha Ghosal oversees the Dow India Technology Centre in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai, as its site director.
His 17 years at Dow, which spanned several geographical locations and added to his more than twenty-four years of industry experience, helped the company's business units succeed by demonstrating his proficiency in strategy planning, business development, R&D, and customer management.
He is an integral part of the CSR committee and contributes significantly to the company's diversity and mentorship programs.
Siddhartha holds a Master of Science degree in synthetic organic chemistry from Mumbai University and an MBA in human resources from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
