In a strategic maneuver aimed at enhancing India's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, Statiq and GLIDA, formerly known as Fortum Charge & Drive India, have joined forces to simplify the charging experience for electric vehicle users nationwide, thereby improving accessibility and convenience across the country's charging network.

Under the terms of the agreement, the entire GLIDA charging network will now be integrated into the Statiq App, allowing users to easily locate and utilize any public charger within the GLIDA network. This endeavor aims to foster interoperability between Statiq and GLIDA charging stations, minimizing the necessity for EV users to utilize multiple applications for their charging requirements. GLIDA's charging solutions will continue to be accessible through its dedicated app and the Charge-Thru web link, ensuring users have a diverse range of options available to them.

Speaking about the collaboration, Raghav Arora, Co-founder & CTO, Statiq, said, "We are thrilled to partner with GLIDA to accelerate the transition to electric mobility in India. Integrating GLIDA’s chargers into the Statiq app marks a pivotal step towards creating a comprehensive and user-friendly EV charging ecosystem in the country".

The collaboration reflects Statiq's dedication to partnering with charge point operators (CPOs) to guarantee EV users have reliable access to an extensive charging infrastructure. This strategy seeks to streamline the charging experience for EV owners by enabling the utilization of Statiq Credits across all affiliated CPO networks.

Awadhesh Kumar Jha, Executive Director, GLIDA, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, "Our strategic partnership with Statiq underscores our dedication to advancing EV charging infrastructure in India. This collaboration not only facilitates easier access to our pan-India network through the Statiq App but also strengthens our commitment to green mobility solutions".

The partnership, incorporating more than 850 GLIDA charging points accessible via the Statiq app, underscores the shared objective of both companies to bolster India's transition towards sustainable transportation. This cooperation is anticipated to significantly improve the accessibility and convenience of EV charging solutions, thereby fostering the widespread adoption of electric vehicles throughout the country.
