Tech Leaders Converge In Delhi Ahead Of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024 Strengthening National And Global CollaborationAs a prelude to the 27th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2024, scheduled from 19-21 November 2024 at Bangalore Palace, a dynamic open Industry dialogue was held today in Delhi, led by Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon'ble Minister for Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka. BTS 2024 is organized by the Department of E, IT and Bt, Govt. of Karnataka and Co-hosted by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Bt, and RDPR, Government of Karnataka was joined by Dr. Ekroop Caur, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Department of Electronics, Infor- mation Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Shri Darshan H.V, IAS, Managing Director, Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Department of Electronics, IT, Bt, and S&T, Govt. of Karnataka, , Gurneet Tej, Resident Commissioner, KB, New Delhi, Shri Shailendra Tyagi, Director, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Bengaluru and Shri Jagdish Patankar, Executive Chairman of MM Activ- the Event Curator of Bengaluru Tech Summit.

The Delhi Industry Meet gathered industry leaders from key sectors such as IT, Deeptech, Electronics, Telecom, EV, Biotech, Gaming, and Animation, representatives from various trade missions, heads of prominent R&D institutes as well as various GIA partner countries. The meeting was well attended by representatives from leading Industry Associations including nasscom, IESA, USIBC, AmCham, COAI, India Mobile Congress and E-Gaming Federation.

Bengaluru Tech Summit is recognized as a pivotal platform in the global technology landscape, solidifying Bengaluru and Karnataka's roles as innovation leaders. This pre-event dialogue was held in Delhi to engage national stakeholders and expand the summit’s reach beyond regional boundaries. This initiative reflects BTS’s new theme, ‘Unbound’, which is elevates beyond ‘Breaking boundaries’, emphasizing the need for boundless innovation, collaboration, and growth across the global Technology and LifeTech sectors, outside the traditional confines of geography, sectors and cultures. The event aims to push this vision further, facilitating new ideas, business opportunities, and international partnerships. BTS draws over 50,000 tech enthusiasts globally.

Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Bt, and RDPR, Government of Karnataka stated, “The Bengaluru Tech Summit is more than a showcase of our technological prowess—it is a platform where ideas and innovations converge, steering us towards a technologically advanced future. Today’s discussions in Delhi extend these conversations beyond boundaries, engaging key stakeholders nationwide. This year’s summit will cover a broad spectrum of topics within IT, Electronics, Biotechnology, Startups, and the Global Innovation Alliance tracks, ensuring comprehensive dialogue on the future of technology. Introducing the new ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) track marks a significant step in reinforcing Karnataka’s role as a leader in advanced manufacturing. I extend my deepest gratitude to all contributors who have played a role in transforming Bengaluru into a global tech hub. Together, let us continue to envision, collaborate, and elevate Karnataka and India to new heights of technological leadership.”

Dr. Ekroop Caur, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, presented an overview of the Event. Adding to the Hon’ble Minister Shri Priyank Kharge’s message, Dr. Caur emphasized, “Bengaluru Tech Summit has evolved beyond being a Karnataka event—it is now a national platform. We encourage and invite the entire Indian Electronics, Technology, and Biotechnology sectors to participate, showcase their innovations to a global audience, and leverage this opportunity to accelerate their business growth.”

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024 will continue to affirm Karnataka’s status as a global technology hub. The event will feature a multi-stage conference across six tracks: IT & Deep Tech, Biotech & HealthTech, Startup Ecosystem, Global Innovation Alliance, India-USA Tech Conclave, and the newly introduced Electro-Semicon track. This track will spotlight advancements in telecom, mobility, consumer electronics, and semiconductors, focusing on critical electronic components driving these industries.

With 85 sessions and over 460+ speakers from industry, research and academia, BTS 2024 Conference promises in-depth exploration and dialogue.

Flagship programs at BTS 2024 will include the CEO Conclave, Startup Conclave, and Fireside Chats with renowned industry leaders. Special emphasis will be placed on B2B meetings to foster structured networking and engagement, with the BTS Event App providing seamless access to schedules and updates.

The International Exhibition at BTS 2024 will feature 700+ exhibitors, including focused pavilions such as Corporate & Industry, Global Innovation Alliance, Startup Zone, and MSME Pavilion. Special sectorial pavilions will highlight breakthroughs in Biotech, Healthtech, Spacetech, Mobility, Greentech, Fintech, and more, with delegations from 40+ countries expected to participate, making BTS 2024 a truly global event.

The Summit will host international delegations from Global Innovation Alliance partner nations some of which include, USA, Israel, South Korea, Russia, Canada, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands and Japan. The conference will feature curated sessions in the Global Collaborations Track and there will be a showcase of global technological advancements in the International Pavilion.

The summit will honor excellence with prestigious awards including the STPI IT Export Awards, Smart Bio Awards, and Startup & Investor Awards. Additionally, the 25th anniversary of the TCS Rural IT Quiz and the BioQuiz finale will be celebrated, recognizing young talent in IT and Biotech. Another initiative, the Bio Posters- Walkway of Discovery, will provide a platform for research students and graduates to showcase their innovative concepts and ideas, fostering recognition of young talent.

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024 is poised to drive global collaborations, foster groundbreaking innovations, and reinforce India’s leadership in the tech world. The Delhi Curtain Raiser has set an exciting tone for Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024, which is scheduled to be held from November 19-21, 2024, at the Bangalore Palace.
