Trump asks to Terminate the Employment of Lisa Monaco

President Trump insisted that Microsoft terminate Lisa Monaco — the former deputy attorney general during the Biden administration, currently the tech company's president of global affairs — labelling her a threat to U.S. National Security and stating she has access to Highly Sensitive Information.
In a Truth Social message, Trump called on the software company to “promptly end the employment of Lisa Monaco,” cautioning that her position managing Microsoft’s global policy presents dangers due to the company's extensive contracts with the US government.
Trump stated that Monaco lost her federal security clearances earlier this year and was prohibited from accessing government facilities due to unspecified “wrongful acts.”
Monaco, 57, acted as deputy attorney general under former President Joe Biden from 2021 to 2025, managing prosecutions and national security matters as the Justice Department’s second-in-command.
She is reported to have played a significant role in managing high-profile and politically delicate cases, including the department's prosecution of Trump and cases related to Jan. 6 defendants.
