About a month after the US Supreme Court invalidated President Donald Trump's "reciprocal tariffs, the Republican leader reiterated on Monday that he would proceed with implementing tariffs in another form.

"The choice that was most significant for me was TARIFFS!" The Court understood my position, my deep desire for this Victory for our Nation, and instead chose to possibly hand over Trillions of Dollars to Countries and Companies that have exploited the United States for many years.

“Our Supreme Court has brought great joy to these Countries; however, as the Court indicated, I possess the complete authority to impose TARIFFS in a different manner and have already begun to do just that," Trump says.

The Supreme Court's decision in February hindered the President's trade policy, as Trump contended that the ruling favors foreign nations that have historically exploited the United States.

The president indicated that irrespective of the decision, his administration would keep seeking trade actions to safeguard US industries and combat what he referred to as years of unfair economic practices by competing countries.

Trump also remarked that the case could pertain to potentially "trillions of dollars" that might otherwise be refunded to foreign nations and corporation.

He contended that these results would favor nations that, in his opinion, had gained from trade agreements that put the United States at a disadvantage.

"The Hundreds of Billions of Dollars our rivals want our Nation to reimburse to those who have disrespected the U.S.A., until I arrived, should be viewed by the Public as yet another justification for the significant decline of the United States — But that is in the past, because we have MADE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN and, very soon, it will be GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE," he stated.
