The acquisition will deeply reflect in scaling up the performance of Verizon's 5G products.

An American telecommunications conglomerate, Verizon Business signs the definitive agreement to acquire an enterprise-grade video conferencing & event hosting platform of BlueJeans to improve localized communication. The pandemic has afflicted global communications at large; to mobilize the operations BlueJeans’ cloud-based video served as a boon for the professionals who are working from home. BlueJeans video services served a wide variety of business segments from MSMEs to mammoth enterprises, thus, the acquisition will put Verizon a foot forward in creating an immersive unified communications portfolio.

The transaction to combine BlueJeans’ simple, smart and trusted meeting platform with Verizon’s unified communications as a service business, is expected to close the second quarter.Witnessed by Evercore and Goodwin Procter, legal advisors of BlueJeans and Debevoise & Plimpton, advocating for Verizon. Plus, Blue Jeans platform will secure Verizon's 5G product roadmap with realtime engagement solutions for the definitive industries like telemedicine, distance learning, and field service work.
