Michelin Group, a French tire manufacturer, appoints Alexis Garcin as the next Chairman & President of Michelin North America, spanning across the United States and Canada. Alexis will be managing the key customer-facing functions of the Michelin North America, which includes sales & marketing, quality, technical development and supply chain units.

Succeeding Scott Clark, Alexis was lately promoted as the executive vice president for the Group Executive Committee; there he held the responsibilities of global passenger car and light truck business, motorsports, Experiences (including the famed Michelin Guides), and regional oversight of the Americas.

Commenting on the appointment, Florent Menegaux, CEO of Michelin Group says, "Alexis brings an interpersonal style and a leadership approach that directly reflect the Group's core values.”
He further adds, “His experience and expertise will facilitate the Group's continued growth and success in this important region.”

Alexis has served as senior vice president of the Michelin Group’s global long distance transportation business line since 2018. He has also served as the company’s global strategic marketing director for the truck and bus division from 2011 to 2017. Over the period of 17-years of service at Michelin, Alexis has held various leadership roles in marketing, sales, distribution and other commercial functions for units in Europe and at the global level. Along with the Michelin appointment, Alexis will also be part of the board of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA).

In the initial stage of his career, Alexis worked for the Bosch Group. He has earned a degree in Economical Sciences from the University Lumière in Lyon, France, and holds a master degree in Business and Management from Saint-Etienne Business School in France.
