Visa Names Shruti Gupta as VP of Commercial Solutions for India and South Asia
Visa has appointed Shruti Gupta as Vice President and Head of Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) for India and South Asia. In this strategic role, Gupta will oversee Visa's business and corporate solutions, encompassing commercial solutions, integrated money movement, and Visa government solutions.
With an extensive background in banking and finance, particularly in commercial solutions and strategy, Gupta brings valuable expertise to Visa's team. Sandeep Ghosh, Group Country Manager, Visa India and South Asia, expressed delight in welcoming Gupta and highlighted her rich experience. Gupta's key responsibilities include formulating and executing a multi-year growth strategy in collaboration with the leadership team in India and South Asia.
Gupta stated that Visa's consistent leadership in payment ecosystem innovations aligns with her belief in the pivotal role of a strategic approach in business development with commercial clients. With over two decades of experience at Citi, Gupta has navigated various roles in commercial, risk management, and strategy, catering to MNCs, local corporates, and the startup ecosystem. Commencing her professional journey with Citi India in 2000, Gupta's recent role was as Managing Director for the multinational segment of Citi commercial banking.
