Walmart IDC Appoints Priya Cherian as New Head of HR
Walmart IDC has appointed Priya Cherian as the new Head of HR, starting in January.
In her new role, Priya will oversee the HR team in India, focusing on promoting career development, well-being, and fostering a strong sense of belonging for associates, all enhanced by advanced digital tools.
Maren Dollwet Waggoner, Senior VP of Global Tech and Corporate Functions, shared on social media, "She'll work closely with Balu Chaturvedula and team leaders to ensure Walmart is a place where associates can build meaningful careers, prioritize their well-being, and feel truly valued, all with the support of top-tier digital resources."
Before Walmart, Priya was a Venture Partner at NextB Ventures, where she worked as Venture Partner. In her role, she was responsible for evaluating opportunities from the perspective of companies investing in early-stage start-ups. She also worked with various founders helping them scale their businesses and build a strong talent base and a cultural foundation for their respective organisations.

Priya has previously held roles at Flipkart, Alibaba, and PayU, gaining experience in various capacities.
