Washington-based Apptio Names Dr. Subramanian Krishnan as its Leader of India - Center of Excellence

Apptio, an organization that transforms the way IT runs with the cloud-based applications, appointed Dr. Subramanian Krishnan as its maiden Vice President and General Manager of India. In his new role, Krishnan will handle the establishing and guiding Apptio’s upcoming center of excellence in Bengaluru.

Excited on his new role, Krishnan says, “I look forward to working with Sunny and the rest of the Apptio leadership team to establish a strong presence in the India market and set the agenda of the company towards customer experience and innovation. I’m excited to hire passionate team members, work with our international offices to expand global thinking and processes, and build Apptio’s reputation in the India market”.
At Apptio, Krishnan will be building its product engineering, customer success and marketing teams with a focus of creating and delivering its products to all Apptio customers. He will also be improving the current strategy, vision, and employee-first culture of Apptio with an objective to offer a simple, modern and strong customer experience that delivers tangible insights and business value.

With more than 20 years of experience leading global technology companies through transformation and growth, Krishnan was the Country Head of India at Finastra. Prior to Finastra, he was leading the R&D organization at ADP India. Before ADP India, he was the Managing Director at Optimal Solutions, held the position of the Head of Supply Chain Management at Oracle India and Head of Operations at Peoplesoft. Krishnan holds a Ph.D from the University of Maryland, U.S.A and started his career at i2 technologies.
