ZEISS India’s Baskar Kesavalu Named Head of Product Development

ZEISS has recently promoted Baskar Kesavalu to the position of Head of Product Development for Vision Care Solutions, exemplifying the company's commitment to bolstering its international leadership and expediting innovation within its Vision Care division.

Baskar will be situated in Bangalore and will report to Eric Nehrbass, Head of Vision Care Solutions in Germany in his new position.

Beginning March 1, 2026, his primary emphasis will be on creating and supervising a proficient product development team tasked with delivering innovative products punctually, within budget, and meeting outstanding quality benchmarks.

Baskar assumed the role of Head of Vision Technology Solutions (VTS) at ZEISS India in 2025, having accumulated more than 30 years of expertise in product development and management.

Before joining ZEISS, he served in prominent leadership positions at GE HealthCare, where he supervised global product development and management operations.

As part of his expanded global duties at ZEISS, Baskar will be tasked with managing the newly established consultation platform, spearheading pioneering advancements, and incorporating ZEISS Solution Partner products within the wider Vision Care framework.
