Brief us on your educational and professional background that helped you to be a great leader of today.
I Completed MBBS in 1998 and MD (Microbiology) in 2012. I worked in government & private hospitals. I have been having a keen interest in infection control in hospitals. This further has made way to understand quality in various areas at the hospitals, especially ICUs & Operation Theatres. I gained all the experience by visiting many hospitals since 2016. I would help my friends in handholding their hospitals for quality certifications. Being the quality head at R.L.Jalappa hospital, Kolar Karnataka has helped me mould myself to be a leader in quality implementation.

Dr.Savitha transforms the workspace into a world-class facility by implementing all accreditation standards by conducting regular trainings, committee meetings, and Internal audits

What industry gap inspired you to establish Medicuality? What are the distinguishing aspects of your company from others in the industry?
I observed that numerous organizations are looking for quality improvement & certifications in their hospitals or individual areas like laboratories, Blood banks, Emergency departments, Ambulatory care centers, and more. Many corporate hospitals have got their accreditation certificates, relax until the next cycle begins. There is a need to develop business modules for failing hospitals or educational institutions in the healthcare industry.

Many fake consultants are charging a fortune to hospital owners without needed qualifications/ experience to guide them appropriately. We at Medicuality healthcare services are committed to handhold hospitals for quality accreditations &
certifications. We do third party quality audits at already accredited hospitals, with a detailed gap analysis & simultaneous training of all categories of staff at least twice a year to keep up the momentum of quality & safety in hospitals. We regularly focus on business development training and certification programs to help the students of the healthcare industry.

Tell us about your unique skillsets and strengths that differentiate you from your peers in the industry.
I am a Medical doctor, Microbiologist, specialised in infection control which is a very significant part of quality in hospitals. Not many doctors become quality experts as they are busy with their expertise. Being an assessor/auditor to NQAS, NABH, QAI, Bureau veritas, and more has always kept my quality-oriented in hospitals. Being a doctor, training other doctors of all specialties has always been welcoming.

Over the course of your journey, what bestowed you utmost satisfaction?
Being in the healthcare industry since 1998, I gained a huge work experience from the various government & private facilities. Starting from small health care organizations of about 50 beds to medical college hospitals, Medicuality has set in benchmarks in quality training & handholding them to face the assessments. PHC to a district hospital in the government sector, 10 bedded nursing home to a 1000 bedded medical college hospital, the journey helped me to understand the numerous challenges, probable solutions & the need for quality in the patient care & safety practices. Training from accreditation agencies like NABH, NQAS, JCI helped me, even more, to analyze the quality standards nationally & setting up international benchmarks became my dream.

How has your family supported you in your career so far?
Being a single mother has been taxing, energising as well as convenient at times to be a complete professional. My family is my mother, brother, and a very understanding 17-year-old son. All of them encourage me to be my best.
