Innovation & Seamless Learning - The Mantra For A Successful Ed-Tech Startup

Every crisis is an opportunity. COVID-19 surely has negatively impacted the global economy, but for online learning, it is an opportunity for e-Learning companies to up their sleeves to provide uninterrupted learning to the masses.

However, it is indeed required that these e-learning companies look beyond providing just prep or K-12 courses. Companies now are moving their employee learning ecosystem online to ensure uninterrupted learning of their employees during this pandemic times.

Instead of just offering pre-made video courses and ready-to-consume texts, it is time that they start live classes to at least give the feel of physical class and make it more interactive. Despite providing the convenience of learn anywhere, anytime, e-Learning companies need to really move beyond this cliché and bring more innovation into the system. Though disruption in the industry was quite sudden induced by this pandemic, the industry now have to look beyond offering the usual and innovate. Though India is a breeding ground for startups and have seen around 4,450 new edtech startups launched between 2014-19, we still have only one unicorn. The industry needs to revamp sooner so that it can attract more investments and be able to deliver innovatively and we see more unicorns ruling global market.
