    India has been always one of the favourite destinations for tourists all over the world. Tourism is one of the major sources of foreign exchange for our country, and India is showing continuous growth in the sector. The industry accounted for 7.5 percent of the GDP. Tourism sector in India accounts for 39 million jobs, which accounts for eight percent of total employment in the country. The Government of India (GoI) has selected Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Mangalore, and Mumbai ports to develop them as cruise tourism hubs.

    The tourism industry in India is growing not only because of the foreign travellers.
