IT services giant Accenture is poised to purchase the Connectivity sector of Ziff Davis in a cash transaction worth $1.2 billion, integrating globally renowned network intelligence brands like Ookla, Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics into its offerings. The deal, revealed on March 3, is anticipated to finalize in the next few months, pending standard closing conditions such as regulatory approvals.

The Connectivity division includes Ookla’s popular network analysis tools, such as the Speedtest internet testing platform and the Downdetector outage monitoring service. The portfolio additionally features Ekahau, offering tools for Wi-Fi network design and troubleshooting, along with RootMetrics, a provider of network performance data.

Accenture stated that incorporating the Ookla portfolio would enhance its network intelligence abilities and assist businesses in developing more robust data foundations as the adoption of artificial intelligence increases across sectors.
