Adani Airport Holdings declared that it had terminated its agreement with Çelebi, a Turkish company, for ground handling services at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai.

Additionally, it stated that in order to guarantee continuous operations, Celebi has been instructed to turn over all ground handling facilities to the business right now.

Following the Union government's revocation of the Turkish aviation company's security clearance, the decision was made to end these concession agreements.

Through newly chosen ground handling firms, the corporation stated that it will continue to offer uninterrupted, seamless service to all airlines.

Amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan, Çelebi's security clearance was revoked. Turkey has been under increasing fire in India for its assistance of Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror assault and India's response "Operation Sindoor."

With ground handling services at nine airports—including Delhi, Cochin, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Goa—Çelebi has a sizable presence in India. Via Çelebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India, the company also provides cargo services.

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) took a similar action recently when it officially terminated its agreement with Çelebi for ground handling and cargo operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Additionally, Adani Airport Holdings has dissolved its partnership with DragonPass, a travel services and airport lounge company with its headquarters in China.

Although no explanation was given, the action comes after DragonPass and Adani Digital Labs (ADL) announced a partnership just one week earlier on May 8. As Adani Airports' digital innovation division, ADL creates digital services and enhances the customer experience.
