Adani Gas Unveils An Awareness Initiative for CNG & PNG

Adani Gas Ltd, one of the leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies, conducted an awareness initiative called‘Bulletin Board Presentation Competition’ at St.Anthony Sr.Secondary School, Udaipur. The company seamlessly develops and operates CGD networks to supply Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to industrial, commercial and domestic customers and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to the transport sector. It has set up city gas distribution networks in Ahmedabad and Vadodara in Gujarat, Faridabad &Palwal in Haryana and Khurja in Uttar Pradesh, while its JV company has already commenced its operations in the cities of Prayagraj, Chandigarh, Ernakulam, Panipat, Daman, Dharwad, Udhamsingh Nagar, and Bulandshahar.

Comprising of 250 participants from the 7th, 8th and 9th-grade students, the Adani Gas’ initiative mainly focused on increasing the awareness of CNG and PNG in untapped markets and also educating the younger audiences about green alternatives to fuels. Through this event, the students of the school were able to learn about the status of the environment, factors affecting and deteriorating it and most importantly, what kind of ways and methods can safeguard the environment through a presentation given by the team of Adani Gas. This presentation further sheds light into the measures undertaken by Adani Gas to promote a greener, cleaner and sustainable environment.

The event also portrayed how CNG and PNG played a crucial role in opting for eco-friendly measures, wherein CNG being a cleaner greener fuel would help in reducing vehicular emissions and PNG would help support the Government’s UjjwalaYojana of LPG for each household.

As a part of the event, the Adani Gas team tasked the students with creating bulletin board a week prior to the day of the event. The competition included differentthemes such as –environment, pollution, green house effects and 3R - reuse, recycle and reduce, whichwere based on the eco-friendly measures focusing on the primary offering of CNG with the objective of learning by doing. And the bulletin boards were judged by the school and the Adani Gas team.

The event concluded with a fresh knowledge for each student about selecting the right environment friendly options – CNG and PNG. The winners of the bulletin board were awarded with prizes, T-shirts and AGL branded mugs.

As a part of its citizen outreach, Adani Gas conducts multiple initiatives in order to build awareness for CNG and PNG across regions in India at large.
