Adani Ports Secures Marine Deal for Argentina's First LNG Export

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited. (APSEZ), a prominent company of the Adani Group, announced that it has obtained a 10-year marine services contract for Argentina's inaugural liquefied natural gas (LNG) export, signifying its entry into South America and broadening its global marine services presence.
The contract was granted to APSEZ's step-down subsidiary, The Adani Harbour International FZCO, in partnership with the Argentina-based Meridian Group after a worldwide competitive tender process organized by Southern Energy S.A. (SESA).
According to the agreement, the consortium will deliver comprehensive marine services, which encompass tug operations for LNG carriers, offshore logistics and supply assistance, along with crew transfer services. The project will be aided by four advanced tugboats, one anchor handling tug supply vessel, and one crew boat.

Argentina is becoming a significant new LNG supplier, having secured agreements to enable exports of up to 10 million tonnes (MT) each year to India starting in 2027. The Southern Energy FLNG initiative is anticipated to significantly contribute to linking this expanding supply base with international demand hubs.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) is a comprehensive transportation and logistics firm that functions throughout the entire cargo value chain, encompassing import-export processing to domestic distribution.
The firm oversees 15 ports and terminals along the west, south, and east coasts of India, in addition to a network featuring rail transport, multi-modal logistics parks, warehousing options, and road transport for final delivery.
It runs 12 logistics parks, approximately 3.1 million sq. ft. of warehouse space, and a fleet exceeding 25,000 trucks backed by its digital logistics system.

Apart from India, APSEZ operates in international ports located in Australia, Colombo, Israel, and Tanzania, and manages a varied marine fleet consisting of 136 vessels. The firm manages cargo totaling 653 million tonnes annually and represents about 27 percent of India's port activity, aiming for a long-term goal of achieving 1 billion tonnes of throughput by 2030.
