Anthropic has recently appointed Irina Ghose as the Managing Director of India, further demonstrating the company's dedication to the responsible deployment of AI in India, in response to its increasing popularity among developers, enterprises, and the wider innovation ecosystem.

Irina possesses over 30 years of experience in expanding technology companies. Her most recent role was as Managing Director at Microsoft India, where she spearheaded the implementation of enterprise AI in various key sectors in India such as BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, technology services, and government.

She has led successful teams, developed strategic partnerships, and promoted the development of relevant skills and capabilities within India's technology sector.

Irina's career has involved leadership positions in sales, enterprise solutions, education, and go-to-market strategy, all with a strong emphasis on utilizing technology to create significant business and societal changes.

India is positioned as the second most significant market worldwide for the utilization of Claude.ai. According to Anthropic's recently published Economic Index, which was released yesterday, Indian users exhibit a notable preference for technical applications.

Approximately fifty percent of all Claude.ai usage in India is concentrated in tasks related to computers and mathematics. The organization has also revealed that Anthropic's CEO, Dario Amodei, along with several key executives, will be journeying to India in February to ceremoniously inaugurate Anthropic's office in Bengaluru and partake in the India AI Impact Summit and its affiliated gatherings.

During the Summit, Anthropic's executives will interact with prominent figures worldwide to propel the responsible development of AI that emphasizes safety, worldwide accessibility, and significant benefits for humanity.
