BC Jindal Group Names Sanjay Bhargava as CEO of Jindal India Power

BC Jindal Group has announced the appointment of Sanjay Bhargava as Chief Executive Officer of its power arm, Jindal India Power Limited.
In his new position, Bhargava will focus on improving operational efficiency and boosting performance at the company’s 1,200 MW thermal power plant in Odisha, which consists of two 600 MW units. Commissioned in 2015, the facility has steadily enhanced its Plant Load Factor (PLF) and continues to be a vital component of the group’s energy portfolio.

Bhargava has more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry, with skills that include power sales strategy, plant operations and maintenance, commercial and regulatory roles, advocacy, and business growth. He has formerly been linked with prominent organizations, such as Tata Power.

Since its establishment, Jindal India Power Limited has signed various Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with state DISCOMs and customers in areas such as Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, and Noida, covering short-, medium-, and long-term supply contracts.
