Duroflex Elevates Jacob George to Chairman & Managing Director
Duroflex Limited, the company behind sleep and comfort brands 'Duroflex' and 'Sleepyhead', has revealed a change in leadership structure by appointing Jacob George to the position of Chairman and Managing Director of Duroflex Limited.
George, previously holding the role of whole-time Director for Growth & Strategy, takes over from Mathew Chandy, who is stepping away from his CMD position following ten years of guiding the company through significant transformation and remarkable expansion.
Chandy will remain with the organization in his capacity as a whole-time Director.

George contributes over ten years of leadership expertise gained within Duroflex. His accomplishments while serving as whole-time Director from 2018 to 2022 encompass spearheading expansion efforts in western India, managing the acquisition and growth of manufacturing operations in central India, and supervising the company's digital modernization initiatives. He has taken charge of strategic partnerships, including alliances with IPL team franchises.
Chandy said, “Leading Duroflex through a decade of transformation has been a privilege of a lifetime. Duroflex today stands on a robust financial foundation, having achieved a CAGR of 21.97 percent over the last five years".
"During this period I have watched Jacob lead with vision, strategic acumen and operational excellence needed to take the company to even greater heights".
He adds, “Jacob has been instrumental in driving some of the company’s strategic projects in recent years. I am confident that under his leadership, Duroflex will aim to set new standards for innovation, growth and customer-centricity in the industry. As I pass on the baton, I look forward to supporting Jacob and the team in this exciting new chapter.”
