ElevenLabs Enhances its Market Strategy With Karthik Rajaram

ElevenLabs, a renowned company specializing in AI-powered voice and audio advancements on a worldwide scale, has recently revealed the selection of Karthik Rajaram as the General Manager and Country Head for India.
In his new position, Rajaram will spearhead the strategic approach for entering the market and increasing revenue, all while fostering a robust network of partners in India's AI, media, and corporate sectors.

Rajaram has over twenty years of experience in developing and expanding high-growth technology companies in India. His most recent role was as General Manager and Vice President for India & South Asia at Elastic, where he oversaw significant growth and positioned India as a key market for global expansion.

Before joining Elastic, he served in high-ranking positions at Freshworks, Akamai Technologies, and Microsoft, where he focused on facilitating the implementation of cloud, security, and enterprise solutions for some of India's most prominent companies.
Earlier, ElevenLabs introduced the India Data Residency feature, which allows businesses in India or those catering to the Indian market to utilize ElevenLabs Voice AI in compliance with local data residency and security regulations. India Data Residency offers enterprise clients the opportunity to utilize ElevenLabs' voice AI models that are exclusively located in India, guaranteeing that voice data remains within the country and in adherence to India's data protection regulations.
According to ElevenLabs, this update facilitates various applications such as multilingual customer service and instantaneous voice interfaces, all while maintaining optimal performance, minimal delay, and stringent security protocols. A notable aspect of this offering is the availability of local hosting services, ensuring that customer voice data is safely stored within the infrastructure based in India, thereby enabling its retention within the country's borders.

Since its establishment, ElevenLabs has focused on developing sophisticated speech synthesis and dubbing solutions. Within a short span of three years, the company has achieved unicorn status and is currently valued at $3.3 billion following successful fundraising efforts totaling $281 million across four rounds, with support from prominent investors such as a16z, Sequoia, and ICONIQ.
